The Td5 engine responds well to tuning and our bespoke remapping helps increase the vehicle flexibility and overall drivability as well as increasing power and torque output and in some circumstances improved fuel economy. We program each car individually to suit the level of modification and customer requirement. We undertake basic diagnostic checks prior to tuning so we can advise of anything likely to impact performance. 1999 – 2001 models will require ECU re-chip rather than remap. Flashable ECU models have part number beginning NNN, earlier models MSB. Our maps are developed in conjunction with Td5 Inside
Land Rover claimed power output of 120bhp can be increased in stages, commonly known as Stage 1, 2 and 3.
Stage 1 – a mild tune where no other modifications have been made to the car – around 150bhp, improved response and flexibility.
Stage 2 – in conjunction with uprated intercooler, EGR and good air filter – around 180bhp, greatly improved drivability combined with improved economy provided by the intercooler
Stage 3 – more highly modified and competition cars – around 200bhp, hybrid turbo, special intake and exhaust system.
Please note – auto gearbox models require a capped maximum output.
It is essential that a vehicle is looked after for it to provide optimum performance. We would expect recent service, clean air filter, non restrictive air intake and exhaust etc.
AlliSport strive to produce the highest quality products designed to withstand many years of use and we are proud to stand behind these products. However, we manufacture many products and if you make enough of anything, a limited number of problems may be expected. It is how we deal with a problem that is important!
Effective January 2016 onwards, if your product fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair or replace it without charge, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified materials and workmanship are covered by this policy.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.
Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.
The products eligible for warranty are covered to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product. Unfortunately, this does not mean your lifetime. Your AlliSport® intercooler may not survive to the ripe old age of 70.
(But we have heard from happy customers whose well-loved and cared for 1999 products are still going strong!)
For warranty evaluation, your product must be returned directly to AlliSport Ltd, Aubrey’s Farm, Bromesberrow Estate, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 1RZ, UK.
All shipping for warranty must be pre-paid and insured and accompanied by reference to the original invoice. We cannot be liable for lost or damaged in-bound packages.
Not all AlliSport products are covered by the lifetime warranty, please check the warranty tab on the product detail page for further info.
