Description

High performance replacement  “double core” intercooler for Land Rover Defender, Discovery or Range Rover 300 Tdi.

This intercooler has been designed to replace the original intercooler and has 80% more surface area than the original.

Ideal for vehicles fitted with close mounted winch bumpers where it is not possible to fit our larger front mounted intercooler.

This model is a great compromise between our uprated replacement model and the larger front mount option and is also suitable for cars with AC.

115mm thick special high performance L.I.F.T (Louvred Internal Fin Technology) controlled atmosphere brazed core, TIG welded by hand in house using Internal turbulators to increase cooling capacity.

Combined with the correct tuning (instructions included) power will increase from 111 bhp standard to approximately 141 bhp with a similar increase in torque. Figures are an average, taken from a our customers own independent rolling road tests.

The greater cooling capacity will allow up to 27% increase in power and torque in the lower and mid-range revs and improved throttle response, customers regularly report 10-15% gain in economy.

Cylinder head thermal stress is actually reduced as the combustion temperature or EGT is reduced dramatically

Please note, you will need to adjust the original intercooler/radiator surround frame to install this intercooler or purchase our replacement frame.

Because the intercooler is far more efficient than the standard item, the fuel pump will need setting to compensate for the change in mixture. The settings are straightforward and are covered in fitting instructions – https://www.allisport.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/AS25-29-Double-Core-pdf.pdf

As most Tdi vehicles are not electronically controlled, there is no ECU to remap, so we optimise the fuel and boost settings to match the intercooler mechanically.

Post ’98 auto Discovery is fitted with EDC – Electronic Diesel Control, so will need tuning electronically.

    Well made, easy to install, very clear instructions. Customer service is great as you can get Andrew at the other end of an email, no robots, no hour hold lines, just any questions answered.

    Personally I found with out vehicle its happier sitting at slightly higher speeds than before I can now tackle 60/65mph without the engine note telling me I shouldn’t be which is nice in todays traffic. I also found it be slightly less aggressive coming on to boost it seems to roll into power a lot nicer than before. Plans in the future to improve drivability with a VGT turbo which should compliment the intercooler nicely. Thanks again guys.

    This Intercooler is very well made and arrived in Canada very quickly. Installation was straight forward and the performance increase was very noticeable. It’s well worth the effort and I highly recommend it.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.

Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.

The products eligible for warranty are covered to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product.  Unfortunately, this does not mean your lifetime. Your AlliSport® intercooler may not survive to the ripe old age of 70.

(But we have heard from happy customers whose well-loved and cared for 1999 products are still going strong!)

For warranty evaluation, your product must be returned directly to AlliSport Ltd, Aubrey’s Farm, Bromesberrow Estate, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 1RZ, UK, including a copy of the receipt, otherwise we require an order or invoice number to track it through our records.

All shipping for warranty must be pre-paid and insured and accompanied by reference to the original invoice. We cannot be liable for lost or damaged in-bound packages.

Not all AlliSport products are covered by the lifetime warranty, please check the warranty tab on the product detail page for further info. We will not be held liable for any costs associated with removal and refitting of a product covered by this warranty. You accept these conditions by purchasing the product.
