AS71 – Discovery Uprated Intercooler AC Manual
1. Remove the grille
Remove front grille and offer up the new intercooler.
2. Drill holes
Drill two 6.5mm holes in the front panel to mount the top brackets.
2.1. Angle bracket
Attach the short angle bracket between the left hand inner wing and intercooler mount.
3. 90 degree hoses
Use two 90 degree hoses to ascertain the position of the holes through the panel. Please line the holes to avoid chafing.
4. Power steering reservoir bracket
The power steering reservoir bracket will need to be altered with the extension provided. Follow the attached diagrams for pipework layout and fuel adjustments.
- Use supplied EGR blanking plate to remove EGR valve. (300 Tdi)
- See separate sheet for position of holes needed for new pipework through bulkhead near horn mounting position.
- Please line holes cut through bulk head to avoid chaffing.
- Use long bracket supplied to move power steering reservoir allowing more clearance for top intercooler pipe.
- Mount top intercooler brackets to front panel lip.
- Use short angle bracket supplied for left hand intercooler mount.
- NOTE – Check clearance of bonnet safety catch before closing the bonnet. It may be necessary to adjust slightly.
