# FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

ASTU06 – TD5 Wire-In Tuning Modules

Wiring Instructions.

1999 – 2002:

Location:
Defender – ECU under drivers seat
Discovery – in battery/jack compartment

Fitting:

  • Disconnect RED plug from ECU.
  • Connect the 5 YELLOW wires of the module to the 5 YELLOW wires at one end of
    the ECU plug. (No particular order required).
  • The yellow wires at the ECU may also have a coloured trace.
  • Connect the BLACK wire to a good earth.
  • Connect the RED wire to ignition or permanent 12v positive

2002 – 2006:

See previous for ECU locations and follow the instructions.
Note: These later cars will have a yellow/trace colour but locations are the same.

Setting in performance by adjusting the curves.

SAFETY NOTICE: Please disconnect the device from the vehicle before proceeding.

1. Open the device

  • open the two caps on the end of the unit
  • loosen both screws and
  • remove the cover

2. Change in power output

Caution! The CPU is delivered with the optimal range for the engine. For modified vehicles use the table below to alter the tuning.
