ASTU08 – Defender 2.4 Tdci tuning unit

Check you have enclosed:

• Tunit V-CR
• Denso 2 wiring harness
• Warranty card
• 2x cable ties

Before the installation, you must ensure that the ignition of your vehicle is turned off and the key is out of the lock.

If you leave the key in the lock during installation then this can cause an error light to occur on the dash.

Once you have found the plug (see photos), remove the original plug. If the engine is hot then wait for it to cool to avoid burning

Using the enclosed harness with a male and female plug then connect the male plug in place of the original plug just removed. Connect the remaining female plug on the Tunit harness with the original removed from the vehicle. Please make sure you have a good connection.

3.1 Connect the tunit to the harness just installed

3.2 The Tunit has a long harness so it can be secured in an area that is not moving and that is free from vibration and water ingress. Secure with the cable ties provided with the 15 pin plug pointing downwards. Ensure the Tunit is installed in this manner.

Important note: Although the Tunit is water resistant it is not water proof and must be installed in accordance with these instructions.

3.3 Final Check with lights inside the Tunit. Once connected, start the vehicle and check the green light is on. This shows the Tunit is powered up normally.

3.4 Take for a test drive and make sure your power is satisfactory. If required adjust the power using the enclosed guide for adjustment.
